HBS Successfully Teams Up With Concacaf
Following the success of the COPA America Centenario in 2016, and of the partnership between CONCACAF and HBS, the host broadcaster was tasked with Consultancy and Quality Control (QC) for the 2017 edition of the Gold Cup tournament, that took place from 7 to 26 July.
CONCACAF, the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football, was celebrating this year the 14th edition of its Gold Cup. The Gold Cup is the main men’s competition and determines the continental champion of North America, Central America, and the Caribbean.
This year’s tournament saw 12 teams battle it out across 14 venues in the U.S.A., with the home team claiming the Cup after a suspenseful finale against Jamaica.
For this year tournament, HBS took on the role of consultant. Pre-event, HBS teams helped provide documentation for the production plans and briefings for key personnel of the three production teams, while key personnel (including Directors, their main camera and EVS operators, the coordinating producers, the floor manager and the technical production managers) for two of these three teams had also been recruited by HBS.
During the event, HBS experts were based at the Broadcast Operations Centre in Atlanta where they conducted the centralised Quality Control of all Live Feeds and the Additional Content Feed from all venues in order to ensure running orders were followed and consistency was upheld.
HBS is honoured to have been asked back by CONCACAF, and to have participated to the faultless delivery of another great tournament on the American soil.
