Emmy Win For Copa Broadcaster Univision Deportes
HBS is pleased to congratulate Copa America Centenario’ broadcaster Univision Deportes for its Emmy win.
Univision Deportes, the U.S.-based, Spanish language sports channel, won an Emmy Award for its coverage of the Copa America Centenario final. The National Academy of Television, Arts and Sciences awarded the channel for its transmission of the final of the 2016 tournament, which saw Chile beat Argentina.
Univision Deportes received this award during the Emmy Awards ceremony on Tuesday, 9 May in New York City. The channel was recognised in the “Live Sports Coverage in Spanish” category, for its live broadcast of the Copa America Centenario final.
For this memorable event, HBS has been proud to support the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) – the host federation for the competition, taking on the role of the organisation’s production partner. The duties covered by this role included logistics, project management and editorial services.
Oscar Sanchez, Director of Broadcast Operations at CONCACAF, was kind enough to acknowledge HBS’ role in helping deliver the Copa America Centenario successfully and thanked the team for their hard work.
