What is HBS?
You have probably watched a football game at some point in your life. Well, if it was a FIFA World CupTM match, it was likely filmed and produced by the HBS (Host Broadcast Services) team. We are involved in the production of many events across the globe, most notably the FIFA World Cup 26TM, Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027 Australia and the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027TM.
Purpose
We’re not just filming sports – we’re crafting unforgettable moments for billions of viewers! Our Production Department is the creative powerhouse behind major sporting events, combining technical excellence with innovative storytelling. We manage everything from pre-production planning to live broadcast execution, ensuring every moment is captured perfectly.
Main Activities / Responsibilities (Primary Role of the Job)
Production Leadership & Innovation
- Develop and manage comprehensive non-live production plans
- Lead post-production, ENG, and content management workflows
- Oversee a dynamic Non-live hub for editing and content management
Team & Resource Management
- Guide and support a team of project coordinators
- Manage relationships with technical suppliers and contractors
- Develop and implement staff training programs
Budget & Operations Control
- Drive production budget forecasting and optimization
- Coordinate scheduling for centralised and stadium-based deliverables
- Ensure seamless collaboration across all HBS departments
Position Relevant Skills (Education / Work Experience / IT)
Essential Skills
- Have proven experience in production or broadcast environment, preferably in sports/live events
- Demonstrate strong project management skills in media production
Technical Expertise
- Knowledge of broadcast production standards and equipment
- Understanding of production workflows and processes
- Experience with industry-standard software and tools
Management Skills
- Project management and budget control expertise
- Team leadership and coordination abilities
- Strong stakeholder management skills
