Purpose

The Operational Planning Manager is the reference within the company when it comes to operational planning methodologies and platforms which are the heart of HBS operational resources planning. He / She is in charge of the adequation of platforms to meet the needs of all stakeholders, from their documentation, set-up, configuration and use on projects up to the management of evolutions according to business needs he/she collects.

Main Activities / Responsibilities

Manage events’ Operational Planning Platforms in collaboration with Projects’ PM-Teams

  • Configuration and deployment according to project/event requirements
  • System administration
  • Users training
  • Users support

Manage Operational Planning Platforms within the company

  • Ensure consistency of Operational Planning Platforms usage across projects according to the defined process
  • Support change management related to new features
  • Keep consistent and up-to-date documentation of platforms and related methodology (technical, functional, usage, support)

Conduct Operational Planning Platforms’ roadmap of evolution

  • Analyse business requirements according to strategic orientations
  • Evaluate and formalise process
  • Establish and prioritise evolution specifications
  • Test & commission new features delivered by technical resources

Position Relevant Skills (Education / Work Experience / IT)

Technical skills:

  • Experience and understanding of Broadcast Operations (Production, Engineering, Digital, Venue Management, IBC & Broadcast Structure)
  • Experience in operational planning
  • Familiar with workflows and process modelling, functional specifications, user stories.
  • Project management skills : Agile / Scrum and waterfall methodologies.
  • Knowledge of web-based software
  • Excellent command of Pack Office

Soft Skills:

  • Structured, organised and rigorous
  • Good in establishing, implementing and promoting process
  • Strong communication skills – able to work with people specialised in different areas
  • Analytical problem-solving approach
  • Consensus and service-oriented, ability to lead meetings with many participants with different requirements.
  • Flexible approach and ability to adapt to changing priorities and demands.
  • Good time-management skills, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Pro-active work attitude
